Istria is the northern region which are grown over a million trees. It is believed that the beginnings of olive growing in Istria date back to the first century Olympics (776-676.pr.kr.). The long history has resulted in a greater number of indigenous varieties. The head of the cultivation of a variety is Buza with Istarska bjelica.
Olive oil producers heavily invested in the presentation and improvement of its products, and have for several years included in the catalog of Extra virgin olive oils “Flos Olei” .
